On 3 March, the Yaw Army (YA) announced that the Yaw Region People’s Defense Force (YPDF) joined the YA to form a unified force in the region. This merger aims to strengthen their collective efforts against the military junta. The announcement came one day after YPDF dissolved on March 2. The Chairman of YPDF explained, “The dissolution of YPDF is necessary to implement Yaw local politics more effectively and to balance military and political objectives. We will restructure under a new design and continue the revolution”.
