  • On December 8, NUG announced its restructuring plan, in which four ministers were removed, such as international cooperation, commerce, communications, and women, youth, and children’s affairs.
  • According to Mandalay Interim Governing Council-MIGC, reported on December 9, they discussed current and upcoming activities, as well as division of competency, during the meeting with the township-level public administration team in Mandalay.
  • Conflicts are reportedly intense across several regions of Central Burma, alongside Tatmadaw military raids and continuous aerial attacks, for instance, Singu, Thabeikkyin, and Myingyan townships, Mandalay, and Yesagyo township, Magway, among others.
  • Following the powerful earthquake that struck on March 28, many historic buildings and cultural heritage sites that collapsed or were damaged have suffered destruction and widespread looting due to weak post-earthquake restoration efforts by responsible authorities, according to archaeologists and heritage experts.
