Centre for Ah Nyar Studies organised two Youth Dialogue events in Magway and Sagaing to create an inclusive and constructive space for exchange among a diverse group of stakeholders. The dialogues were designed to encourage open discussion on governance, justice, and the role of young people in shaping local political processes amid ongoing uncertainty.
The events brought together representatives from the National Unity Government (NUG), Federal Unit Hluttaws, community-based youth groups, and local administration teams (PATs) of National Unity Government of Myanmar. Through direct engagement with decision-makers, young participants shared their perspectives, raised community concerns, and explored practical ways to strengthen youth participation in local governance and justice-related processes.
Across both dialogues, discussions highlighted the increasingly important role of youth as political and community actors. We expect the events to contribute to improved coordination and mutual understanding between youth networks and emerging governance institutions at the township and regional levels.
