Sitrep

  • On October 29, Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) announced its forces would withdraw from Mogok and Momauk following the signing of a bilateral ceasefire agreement.
  • On October 29, Mandalay PDF, which is under NUG command, also announced that they will defend their territories, even though TNLA is withdrawing from the Mogok area.
  • On November 6, Sagaing PDF announced its commitment to continue the revolution from the liberation of the Sagaing Region to the liberation of the entire country, in cooperation with allied groups, until revolutionary victory is achieved.
  • Conflicts are reportedly intense between Tatmadaw and resistance forces in townships, namely, Madaya, Pauk, Myaing, Wetlet, and Kale, among others.
  • According to the Myanmar Defense & Security Institute – MDSI, in October, there were over 120 airstrikes of Tatmadaw, nationwide, resulting in deaths of over 160 and injuries of over 300 people. Among them, 28% of aerial attacks were during nighttime, mostly around 8:00 pm and 1:00 am.
  • In the first week of November, straw doll protests, wearing T-shirts, are reportedly being organised by Myaung local strike forces, in collaboration with Black Brothers, to boycott the elections organised by Tatmadaw.
