On June 17, State and Federal Unit Hluttaws, including Sagaing Federal Unit Hluttaw and Magway Federal Unit Hluttaw, issued a joint statement demanding the unconditional release of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and all political prisoners as the fundamental political prerequisite for building democracy and a federal union.
