This Week in Ah Nyar: A Quick Overview
- On September 27, NLD stated that any dialogue aimed at resolving Myanmar’s political crisis cannot succeed without the participation of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, while highlighting their opposition to Tatmadaw’s election in the statement.
- Political parties are reportedly granted fifteen minutes for broadcast, but they need to ensure the manuscripts do not defame Tatmadaw, among others, according to the UEC.
- On September 24, according to Tatmadaw’s Ministry of Home Affairs, KNU, AA, and Chinland leaders are reportedly charged under Election Protection Law.
- About 1000 people from Sagaing and Magway are affected by the flood due to heavy rains, local sources reported.
- Conflicts are reportedly intense between Tatmadaw and resistance forces in townships, namely, Homalin, Kalay, Pakoku, and Kyakme, among others, resulting in thousands of civilians being forced into displacement, and an urgent need for food and other necessities.
- Tatmadaw’s airstrikes reportedly were conducted in Kani, Taze, and Myaing townships, among others, killing more than a dozen civilians and damaging homes and a monastery.
