TJ and Human Rights
The report is a part of our human rights and transitional justice report series. This volume covers the second half of 2025, from July to December. It documents systematic and widespread violations of human rights and international crimes. Under first-hand testimonies, on-site investigations, and open-source analysis, we verified over 140 incidents of attack on civilians, 80 cases of extrajudicial killings, 54 arbitrary arrests and detentions, 17 cases of gender-based violence, 16 attacks on religious and cultural buildings, 15 cases of forced disappearances, and 5 child rights violations. Our findings highlight widespread human rights violations and underscore the urgent need for accountability and justice. The report aims to contribute to the documentation efforts on the situation of human rights in central Burma and thereby to accountability for the countless number of victims, survivors, and displaced families.
