Pokokku-based LID 101 responsible for the Massacre in Myay-Zun-Taw

According to the witnesses, the LID 101 column left the village on the evening of 4 March (2025) from Myay-Zun-Taw village. Villagers found dead bodies scattered throughout the village – some on the road but mostly burnt in the houses. “Six bodies were found on the northeast edge of the village. They were discovered in two locations, with three bodies in each spot. Near the first group of three bodies, three bullet shells were also found”, an eyewitness told CAS. One body was also found in the western part of the village, near the village monastery. Regarding this body, a witness stated, “She was burnt alive in her house. Villagers who were detained in the monastery heard someone screaming, ‘Help… help,’ while the house was on fire”. She was an 80-year-old blind woman from Myay-Zun-Taw village.
